Superscript or small caps?

Tiny text uses superscript letters that sit high on the line, like footnote numbers. Small caps are capital-shaped letters at lowercase height. Unicode has no tiny version of a few letters, so tiny q uses the look-alike ᑫ, and small-caps x stays a normal x.

Use it with care

Screen readers may read these characters strangely or skip them, and search won’t match them to normal words. Keep the important words, like your name or your shop name, in plain text somewhere too. Very old devices may show empty boxes.

Tiny Text Generator: FAQ

Why does one letter look out of place?

Unicode doesn’t have a widely supported superscript q, so we use a look-alike. Small caps has no separate x either.

Can I use tiny text in my Instagram name?

Usually yes in the Name field. Your @username only accepts plain letters, numbers, periods and underscores.
